Invis Donates to Tsunami Relief Efforts
01.05.2005For Immediate Release: TORONTO (January 5, 2005) – In response to the recent tsunami disaster in South and Southeast Asia, Invis has donated $5,000 to World Vision Canada on behalf of its mortgage brokers and staff, to help with relief and reconstruction efforts in devastated communities throughout the region. "Like many Canadians, we have been watching with sadness as events unfold, "said Andrew Moor, President and CEO of Invis, "and we are mindful that this disaster has affected some communities in Canada we serve." The impact of this assistance will be magnified, as World Vision Canada has announced that the Canadian government will match dollar for dollar donations made through World Vision before January 11, 2005. About Invis Angels in the Night: Angels in the Night is a volunteer community event founded by Invis in 2002. The program aims to raise money through mortgage brokers, financial institutions, partners and other service providers to purchase blankets, outerwear and other clothing for the homeless.
